This time it involves the supply and assembly of a girth gear and pinion for a ball mill.
THE SUPPLY :
A Girth gear : 174 teeth and Module 20 .
A pinion : 19 teeth and Module 20 .
Supply of the manufacturer’s file :
– Metallurgical and mechanical characteristics
– Non-destructive testing: hardness, UT and dimensional tests
THE ASSEMBLY
Workshop operations :
– Checking the fitting diameter of the existing girth gear
– Vertical lathe finishing of the fitting diameter of the new girth gear
– Expertise of pinion bearings.
– Assembly of the bearings on the pinion.
Dismantling on site :
– Element position controls
– Removal of gangways at the top
– Removing the girth gear housing
– Removal of the sprocket assembly for shipment to our workshops.
– Removal of the 2 ½ gears
Assembly on site :
– Installation and adjustment of the pinion
– Mounting and adjustment
– Re-assembly of casings and gangways.
